second story submitted

Sent off the second of my Clarion West stories.

I would have sent it off sooner except for the fact that the title was wrong, and I couldn’t figure it out. Usually, I don’t have trouble with titles. Not getting it figured out for so long told me it wasn’t ready to go. So I tinkered. Then a title manifested. I thinks it works.

We’ll see how long it takes to sell. Uncle Jim (Macdonald, of “Doyle &”) has a line about submitting a story “until hell itself won’t take it.” With any luck, I’m hoping it’ll be sooner than that. It’s a good story.

It’s a nice spot of cheer to get it out. I’ve been needing that.
